Turning a program into a container probably isn’t what you’re looking for. Unless you’re looking for an obscure program, someone has probably done it already.
Get accustomed to using docker compose instead of docker. It’s basically just saving the commands as a text file (YAML file) to keep it all persistent.

Can’t help much without knowing your setup. Do you just have the ISP provided modem? Is there anything between that and your computer, e.g. a switch or a personally owned router?

If that’s the case, would a proper router fix this issue? Would it show as just one device and create its own LAN?
I have that travel router and like it a lot. It offers some great features like MAC address spoofing. In my situation, WiFi was available but only to three devices per paid account. My friend had an extra slot so I added my phone MAC address and I spoofed it on the router. The router connected and rebroadcasted the WiFi under my own private SSID.
Mine never overheated but I was in a climate controlled room. Will you have that in India?

No, the only things you’ll find is a toggle to switch between the two. It’s not possible to split the connection.
You can buy a little 4 port switch like this. Plug ethernet from the router into this and then both computers can take a port from this.
Note: The speed will be split between both computers based on usage. If they’re both downloading something, it’ll split it evenly. If one computer is idling, the other could have full speed.

A used Optiplex is usually the recommendation I see. They’re plentiful and usually capable, so long as it has a decent CPU and enough RAM to handle what you put on it.
Any modern CPU, like a 6th gen intel or newer, should be fine.
That’ll work fine. The only thing that matters is the connection reliability and speed to read the media files.
I did the opposite, with Plex and the drive on the big rig and a pi running all the *arrs.
I use Immich. It’s basically self-hosted Google Photos. It supports multiple users, automated backups, album creation/sharing, and some nifty facial recognition.
It also supports sharing a link to people without an account to view and add to an album.
The downside is this is purely for pictures and videos.
If you’re viewing all that from your PiHole, you should be able to blacklist the domain straight from that interface.
Is paper a more reliable way to store images than the cloud/drives?
I mean, paper can’t really fail and lose everything like drives can, but a working drive will never lose the fidelity of the image. Paper and print can fade and stain. Only a flood or fire would truly destroy a paper copy.
As long as the data is properly backed up, I’d trust it better than paper copies.
I like to use a Hiren’s Boot CD / USB for this stuff. HBCD comes with loads of tools and boots straight from the USB. just throw it on a Ventoy stick or create a boot drive directly with Rufus or something.
It’s best to clone a drive while it’s not actively being used, which is why I like HBCD because you’ll be running off the USB and not your boot drive.
There are some HDD tools on there that will clone your drive 1:1.
Just be very very sure to double check source vs destination. Once it’s done cloning, remove the old drive and test boot. If it works, wipe the old one in Hiren’s and reboot into your OS again.
