Currently I am using a USB-stick to watch movies on my TV. That is I am manually adding a movie to the USB-stick and plugging it into the TV. And it works, but I would prefer to skip a step here.
I am looking for a simple network harddisk I can permanently plug into the TV via USB, but also to connect the drive to my network, to make it easier to add movies and shows.
I am not looking for a modern NAS solution with hard disk(s) you have to add manually. I want something like WD My Cloud that is hopefully just plug and play.
Any recommendations? I hear questionable things about WD hence why I asking here.
(Addendum: I currently have a working Stremio + Torrentio + RD setup and I have previously had a Plex with Sonarr + Radarr setup. I still prefer my own way the more manual approach.)
Does your ISP have a modem/router with a USB port that acts as a file/printer server? Then you’re all set and done!!

So you aren’t looking for a good NAS, you are just looking for a particularly shitty one. Now that you’ve found it what’s stopping you?
