Xiaomi has opened pre-orders on JD.com for its first NAS, the Xiaomi Smart Storage, ahead of its August 27 sale date. The compact two-bay unit also doubles as a smart home hub and supports direct camera recording and backups of Xiaomi phones.
pre-orders available through JD.com from August 27 to September 26. The two-bay NAS starts at CNY 2,699 (about $401) for a 4 TB configuration with two 2 TB HDDs. The 8 TB version, with two 4 TB HDDs, is priced at CNY 3,499 (about $520), while the top-tier 16 TB version, with two 8 TB HDDs, is priced at CNY 5,499 (about $817). The device is said to support up to 60 TB of storage, allowing for two 30 TB drives.
