I have a 2000 square foot single-floor home with a large basement. I’m currently connected using the Cox Panoramic Wifi Modem with Gigablast service. My router is located upstairs in my living room. I work and game in the corner room of my basement. My speed and connection are pretty poor, about 25mpbs if I’m lucky. I would like to get speeds around 400-500mbps down here if possible. I have about twenty devices connected among my four family members. I would like to spend $100-$150, but don’t mind spending up to $200-250 for the right device. Please provide some mesh or router recommendations. Thanks.
the right device costs what it costs. what you should do is wire your house for ethernet. it should be fairly easy with a basement and only one floor. then you could put switches in rooms where wifi only devices would be and enjoy faster speeds with ethernet everywhere else.
