After being on 50mbps/down and 17mbps/up for far too long im finally upgrading to 1000mbps/down and 50mbps/up. With this upgrade im going to be purchasing a new router to support it and im looking for recommendations and advice around them. Few Questions:

  • Is it really worth paying 2-4x the price for netgear nighthawks and asus’ over the likes of something like tp link?
  • 6 person household who can all be using devices at once during peek times (2-3 of those being power users), whats recommended for a situation like this.

Do note that its a requirement for the router to support wifi 6E.

Currently considering the TP-Link Archer AXE75 AXE5400 ($377 AUD, $240USD). lmk if i should stay away.

House is 730 (ish) m² and two stories if that helps.

Cheers.

I have a netgear nighthawk ac3200. I don’t use it. Be happy to sell it to you.

Bag missed your comment about using Wi-Fi 6e. Never mind.
