I recently upgraded to shaw 1.5 gigabit internet.
Every other device in the household has fast download speeds etc.
However my PC on BOTH wired AND wireless can’t get higher than 10mbps.
I’ve updated my bios. Updated drivers turned off auto negotiate and set it to 1.0 gb in my adapters configuration.
I’d say maybe a bad ethernet cable but my WiFi and Ethernet get the exact same during speed tests.
I used Googles speed test aswell as ookla.
Google couldn’t get me about 10mbps.
Ookla showed 800mbps download and 150 upload.
So I tested Steam. Couldn’t get a download higher than 10mbps
Isn’t here some hidden software setting I need to know about?
My motherboard is ASUS Z-370 E GAMING.
Everyone else in the household gets fast as hell downloads.
Steam shows downloads in MB/s right? 10 MB/s is 80 Mbps. Or were you getting 1.25 MB/s (10 Mbps) on Steam?
