Read a couple threads and I checked everything…
trying to transfer files from one PC to another over a Netgear R6700. Both PCs show Gigabit cards
So… i have no clue why im capped at 100Mbps file transfers
Both cables are new and purchased from Amazon last week https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0875SPZC8
Also the router says it’s capable of 1750 Mbps wireless. my wifi cards on both my PCs are 6E so should be able to get up to 2400 Mbps
both PCs and routers are about 5’ apart. getting miserable speeds over wifi too
Any advice on how I can fix both these issues? wired/wireless
What kind of storage is in each PC? Are they both high quality SSDs?
Can you test the network speed using iperf?
https://iperf.fr/iperf-download.php
iperf is run from the command line. One PC will be the server and the other will be the client. There are youtube videos on how to use iperf.
when i was testing i was using main store, one is samsung 970 the other is 980
