Hello! So for starters I don’t know much about networking and have no clue if this is possible but I was wanting to setup 2 routers at home. One that TV’s and Smart Products can connect to and stay on 24/7, and have the other router be for kids and their video games that can be turned off at any time (and has different passwords than the first router) without disturbing the first router that’s connected to smart devices. As I said I have no ideas if this is possible, and I know its most likely a stupid question, but I’ve tried searching it online and haven’t found any answers other than using a second router to extend wifi signals. Also sorry in advance if this isn’t the right place to ask this question, but like I said I was hoping to get some advice on if this is doable or not, thanks in advance for the answers!!
I would just get a router/mesh system that has good parental controls. You can set time limits or manually turn internet access off to certain devices.
