I have like 30 drops and I use a mikrotik router.

I’m kinda new at the networking stuff.

Is it better to have a managet switch, or I just use an unmanaget?

(I try to learn how this networking stuff work)

    It depends on your requirements.

If you only need a lot of ports, all on the same subnet, an unmanaged switch will do.

If you are planing to use VLANs or other features a managed switch will come with, then you should get a managed one, if it is within your budget.

If you want cheap and don’t plan on doing anything other than just connecting a bunch of devices to a switch, then unmanaged. If you want to play around with VLANs, etc. then managed.
