Hello all, hope this question doesn’t get asked a lot but I couldn’t find a post like this.
We’ve been using an ASUS DSL-N16 for probably over 6-7 years and it’s started to get really unstable, crashing once or twice every hour or so. I’m looking to buy a new router (preferrably TP-Link) thats going to span a good area and preferrably also has 5ghz, I dont need something too fast or overkill because i’m pretty sure our landlord never bothered installing fiber so we run on really bad VDSL. I just need something that will have good coverage. Thanks in advance!
A common cause for a crashing router is a weakening power adapter that can no longer deliver enough amps under load. It might be worth trying a different compatible power adapter to see if it addresses your periodic crashes.
