It seems that channel 11 is the quietest with the few that are on it having a low signal strength to me anyway. However, my router allows for channels 12 and 13 (UK so i think i can use these normally). I know that overlap is not a good idea and generally you should stick to 1, 6 and 11 only but 13 is right at the edge of the spectrum and should only effect those on 11 as if i was on 11 right? One post similar to this says go for it. On the other hand, everyone can generally agree what overlapping channels such as 3 or 4 are a no go which also implies 13 is out right? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers
You really only have 3 options.
1, 6, or 11.
These three channels don’t overlap. It makes it a real giant pain in the ass for apartment buildings or other places where people live close together. It takes a lot of careful planning and coordination for everyone to have a good 2.4ghz experience.
