A few days ago i noticed slow speeds, like insanely slow and unusable speeds. This all started i think after using the netgear app to manually block a device on my network (router WAS a r6700v3 on an earlier firmware due to instability with the newer ones). I had used the feature before with no issue, but now it seemed to have messed something up. Went into the router settings and turned off the access control that granted me that ability in the netgear app, to manually block devices. Boom. Its back up to 500-600mbps…last night, the exact same thing happens again. Now i have no idea what the issue is since i deleted the app, there is no way access control or qos or anything was turned on. So i ended up saying fuck it, and bought a new router (asus rt ax55). And im still experiencing a extremely sluggish speeds. I switched cables and it didnt do anything as well. However, when i connected my pc directly to my modem, i got my rated speeds, so something is going on with how my routers are connecting to my modem maybe? Im not into this stuff so i thought maybe someone would have an idea? Currently in the process of asking my isp (astound) to do a line test, and maybe reboot the signal. After that i have no clue where to go next.

    Check your cables?

What’s your DNS setup? I noticed you didn’t list the speeds for when it’s slow. DNS issues can cause weird things to happen.
