Hello everyone I was hoping to get some assistant with my current router for xfinity I currently have netgear c700-100NAS router for the past 4 years now My plan with xfinity is 800mbps I checked my wired internet feed via fast and it is currently at 760mbps which is pretty good
My issue however is wifi speed. I work from home and have to connect to my home wifi and then vpn through my work. The wifi is extremely slow on my phone and also to my work computer . I think I checked the wifi speed via fast and it was 42 mbps
I have 2 phones, iPad, work computer and 2 tvs that use the wifi and also a gaming pc( this is a wired connection so no issues) i was hoping if someone could assist with selecting a wifi that’ll be a little faster
The current router works fine when it’s wired but unfortunately doesn’t seem to work as well over the wifi
Any tips on routers that’ll provide me a good wifi speed?
My house is 1800 sqft

I think you may have the model number wrong as I can only find a C7000-100NAS which is a modem/router combo with WiFi.
My first thought is you are probably only using the 2.4Ghz radio and 2.4Ghz is slow compared to 5Ghz. I’d start by logging into the device and seeing if you can enable 5Ghz and see how that goes. The down side of 5Ghz is that it doesn’t have nearly the range of 2.4 GHz. Though, you may be fine… so yeah, try to get your current device running 5Ghz and go from there.
