I have a motorola mg8702 modem/router combination I purchased. Recently the router has been dropping signal a lot, but my wired stuff is fine. Ive been debating buying a new router and figuring out how to deactivate the router. I believe it’s called bridge mode. Im able to turn it on/off but haven’t tried it yet.

Is that the correct solution? I have the xfinity 1gb plan. Im looking to spend a little extra money on a good router so if I dont have to spend extra money on another modem and just use the 8702 that would be awesome!
