First off I have no idea what I need and at the same time always like to future proof things. Landlord provides one Ethernet cord in the frontroom with 1gig download speed from CenturyLink. Can you give me a recommendation for the two things I need please ? I been targeting 6e but have no idea if I need . I will want to hardwire PS5 XBOX Shield Pro and later a computer setup

In all likelihood, you don’t need 6E and will be impressed by wifi 6. Consider GL.iNet routers such as the flint which are a built in router/access point. Then, you can set your ISP’s AIO (all-in-one) modem/router/AP into bridge mode so it just acts as a modem.
