Hi,

Q1: Inside my smart panel, it says 568A instructions, so I should be using that when I punch down my ethernet runs into the patch panel, right? Photo attached of the sticker inside the panel. Photo 1. House was built in 2005/06 and we used to have landlines if that information is relevant.

Q2: Leviton patch panel and it has colors like teal/yellow, which that’s green and orange, right? Am I colorblind or are the colors on the Leviton guide slightly off from the actual wire colors? Photo of the guide on the patch panel attached. Photo 2.

I would recommend using the same one I used but I can’t remember. Doesn’t matter. Just be consistent in the entire property. Makes it easier to trace things later on. If you punch them down nicely then that day will never come.

If you already started with B then stick with B and ignore what the panel says. If the panel is pre-marked with A color coding and you want to do B then swap green and orange compared to what the chart says.
