  • Yeah, it isn’t this community and instance.

Sadly, unless you use lemmy via one of the apps that can filter instances, this bot is annoying as fuck since you can’t just block the bot itself. It posts using bot generated user names.

Luckily, there are apps that filter instances, so there’s that on mobile as an option. Otherwise, that kind of bullshit bot would make lemmy unusable.

  • I got nothing as far as what someone professional might do, but it really isn’t that hard to drill small holes and patch them later. Drilling is easy, and patching is simple, but takes a little planning and paint matching.

The only problem with that is if whatever management company does an inspection. If that’s a risk, you’d be way better off going through a wall where you can hide things better.

It really depends on what the layout is like, though. If there’s nowhere you can run the cable to get to a wall without having to go through a door, you’re kinda fucked and would need something more specialized.

Like, there are those things that let you route data through power outlets, though I can’t imagine that’s worth it.

  • Ahhh, you do know this isn’t reddit, right?

Like, I get it, you’re looking for help and all, but when you’re trying to apply what a subreddit on reddit covers to a community on lemmy, you’re going to run into a wall before you even get started.

Lemmy largely exists to avoid reddit where possible. It’s made by people that weren’t happy with reddit, and populated by people that weren’t happy with reddit. You can’t really hope for much when trying to cross over.

But a different user gave you the best advice, which is to focus on getting what you have to work. This thing you’re asking about isn’t meant for what you’re wanting to do, so it’s going to take just as much work you get going, if it will work at all. I’ve never used one, but I’ve fucked around with similar stuff before.

If anything, look into a home theater receiver. You’ll get better sound anyway, with far less hassle.
