This is what happens when you don’t call and ask for the newest deals on pricing, they’ll just price creep you through the years.

I have Verizon 5G Home, I live in midtown Atlanta, I pay $25 a month and get 1700mbps. Do you think you live in an area which could use this?

I pay $60 for 1Gb down, ~45Mb down from Spectrum. Check to see what service is available, cable/internet/mobile services will not automatically move customers to newer/cheaper plans

I am gonna take a stab at this.

    1. Your mom lives in the boonies. She doesn’t have cable TV at her house.

    2. This is DSL.

    3. Your mother could have swapped out to a better plan at any time but didn’t because she never bothered to. *

      • it sounds like I am blaming your Mom. Sorry for that. Verizon should have automaticaly bumped her up when a better plan at the same price became available. That note reads like they are retiring stuff and your Mom is getting an upgrade if she likes it or not.

This happened to my folks too. They got grand fathered into an ancient plan from time warner before they merged with spectrum and never updated their plan in almost a decade.
