10 months agoThis can be a tricky repair but with a little bit of effort it will be like it never happened.
What you’re going to want to do is take the end that is plugged into your computer and then disconnect it.
Then take the end that is plugged into the router and disconnect it.
Now take the new cable you’re going to use to replace the old cable with and plug that into the router.
This next bit is the tricky bit, so pay attention.
Now, plug the new cable (not the old cable!!!) into your computer.
Phew, that was a tricky repair, but with a little hard work we did it,
As long as the spot you’re plugging the switch into is a hot port on the router you ought to be able to connect a switch to the port.
